Icarus Reborn - Dragon Knight Build for Elder Scrolls Online
Created by ManBearNug. Updated for U49. Utilizing elements of the Dragonknight with a dash of Nightblade, this is a fun and effective build suitable for solo Overland and Veteran Group Dungeons (Veteran DLC dungeons are possible if minding mechanics and/or with a healer in the group).

Front Bar Skills: Disintegrating Dragonfire - Exhale a blast of draconic fire in front of you, dealing 1799 Flame Damage, applying the Burning status effect, and an additional 2995 Flame Damage over 10 seconds to enemies in your path.\n\nThe initial hit liquifies the armor of your enemies, applying Major Breach to enemies for the duration, reducing Physical and Spell Resistance by 5948.. Soul of Flame - Let the fire within draw heat to your soul, restoring 15% of your missing Magicka and Stamina every 2 seconds over 4 seconds.\n\nMuch of this heat is drawn from enemies around you. Those that are casting are interrupted, set Off Balance, and stunned for 2 seconds.\n\nWhen this ability completes, you release this heat as a blast of fire that deals 2760 Flame Damage to nearby enemies.. Merciless Resolve - When slotted on either bar, you gain Major Prophecy and Major Savagery, increasing your Spell and Weapon Critical rating by 2629.\n\nYour Light and Heavy Attacks now generate a stack of Merciless Resolve, up to 10 times. Fully-charged Heavy Attacks grant two stacks.\n\nWhen at 5 or more stacks, you can consume 5 to fire a spectral arrow to deal 4752 Magic Damage and heal for 50% of the damage dealt, if you are in melee range.. Molten Whip - Lash an enemy with flame, dealing 2399 Flame Damage.\n\nActivating a different Dragonknight ability while in combat grants a stack of Seething Fury up to 3 times, increasing the damage of your next Molten Whip by 33% and your damage done by 5%, or 2% against players, for 10 seconds. The damage done only activates if you are a Dragonknight.. Shocking Banner - Bring out a banner to inspire yourself and nearby group members.. Soul Harvest - Ravage an enemy with a spinning attack, dealing 3718 Magic Damage and increasing your damage against them by 20% for 8 seconds.\n\nAlso afflicts the enemy with Major Defile, reducing their healing received and damage shield strength by 12%.\n\nWhile slotted on either bar, any time you kill an enemy you gain 10 Ultimate.
Back Bar Skills: Blood of the Green Dragon - Draw on your draconic blood to heal for 4132 Health, increasing by up to 50% additional healing based on your missing Health. This ability scales off your Max Health.\n\nYou also gain Major Fortitude, increasing your Health Recovery by 30% for 20 seconds.. Incinerate - Activate an aura of flames which launches a wave of flames every 5 seconds, dealing 1979 Flame Damage to enemies inside.\n\nEach hit has a 15% chance of applying Burning.\n\nWhile slotted on either bar, you gain Major Prophecy and Savagery, increasing your Spell and Weapon Critical rating by 2629.. Burning Embers - Slash your foe with a fiery claw, dealing 1161 Flame Damage and an additional 3480 Flame Damage over 10 seconds.\n\nYou heal for 3414 Health from the initial hit and 511 Health each subsequent tick, scaling off your Max Health.\n\nThe initial hit always applies the Burning status effect.. Elemental Blockade - Slam your staff down to create an elemental barrier in front of you, dealing 281 Magic Damage to enemies in the target area every 1 second.\n\nBlockade of Fire deals additional damage to Burning enemies.\n\nBlockade of Frost costs more, but snares and reduces armor against Chilled enemies and grants damage shields.\n\nBlockade of Storms sets Concussed enemies Off Balance.. Shocking Banner - Bring out a banner to inspire yourself and nearby group members.. Take Flight - Launch yourself at an enemy, dealing 4106 Flame Damage to all enemies in the area, knocking them back 4 meters, and stunning them for 2 seconds. If the target is a monster they are instead knocked into the air and stunned for 3 seconds.\n\nUpon activation you are filled with draconic fury for 15 seconds, increasing your damage done by 10%. This effect's potency doubles against monsters.

Build Guide
The damage of Molten Whip is increased by33% when it has three stacks. Stacks are built by using other Dragonknight abilities while in combat. This is the key to using Molten Whip most effectively.Starting on the back bar: Blood of the Elder Dragon -> Shocking Banner -> Light Attack (LA) -> Burning Embers -> LA -> Elemental Blockade -> LA -> Bar swapDisintegrating Dragonfire -> LA -> Soul of Flame -> LA -> Merciless Resolve -> LA -> Molten Whip -> LA -> Disintegrating Dragonfire -> LA -> Disintegrating Dragonfire -> LA -> Soul of Flame -> LA -> Merciless Resolve -> LA -> Molten Whip -> LA Use the Take Flight and Merciless Resolve skills when available. On top of the damage Take Flight does, it will also increase all your damage by 10% to players and 20% to monsters for 15 seconds. Try to use that window to cast as many three-stack whips and Merciless Resolves as possible. When Take Flight is ready to cast, attain a three-stack whip and at least one cast of Merciless Resolve, then cast Take Flight, followed by Merciless Resolve, bar swapping into Molten Whip and continuing as suggested above.This build is a little "squishy" - be mindful of your positioning and enemy mechanics. Along with its damage, Burning Embers applies a moderate burst heal and a small heal over time to you for each enemy hit with it. If needed, you can apply this skill to several enemies (one at a time) for a bit of stacking heals.Sustain is a little rough and the regeneration provided by Soul of Flame is important. If your magicka becomes too low, try casting Disintegrating Dragonfire (a stamina skill) a few times to let magicka regenerate. Keep the back-bar skills active, alternating between Disintegrating Dragonfire and Soul of Flame to build Molten Whip stacks.
